Weekend Notes May 21 - 28

I started the week complaining that my blog doesn’t have any pictures of me.
David kindly sent this one of me updating my blog.

Addy Meyer & Grant Hasleton  & Hannah Meyer graduated!

Enoch got pictures after the graduation ceremony:

Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Kyle

Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Kyle

Aunt Cheryl and me.

Even just Me!

Kirsti, Jennifer, and Casualene Meyer (sister-in-law to Kirsti and de facto aunt to all Hasletons, Martins, and Barlows) gave a great graduation party complete with candy bar but I only got this picture of Grant and Samantha:

If I could only get one, this was worth it. (I guess Jared’s in it too.)

Willa got her bottom braces removed after 2 years!

Life has been going too fast lately. I wrote my thoughts:

Oscar’s teacher, Mr. Salman, shared these photos from school.

School ended this week.
I took these Last Day of School pictures

and I had feelings about it:

Calvin left right away to start work at a scout camp.
Thank goodness he kept us updated on Snap Chat.
Calvin’s thoughts this week:

He also did some fashion work before he left:

The weather has been glorious all week. My runs and walks have been heavenly.
See what I mean:

Grant did his Eagle Scout Project for the library.
Garden boxes.

Emma came for the 3 Day/Memorial Day weekend!
She got a picture of Hypatia:

Took Taran out for ice cream:

(He’s actually smiling! In a photo!!!)

And made us our traditional Memorial Day Cafe — Crepes!!!!

Emma did it Sunday because there was a BBQ on Monday.
We didn’t want to be overwhelmed with too much food.
Not possible!

Look at that spread!

Taran’s traditional picture pose (turned away from the camera).

Oh la la
SO GOOD!

Nana came Sunday night for Birthday Bunchers, the monthly Hasleton Family Birthday celebration.

Elder male cousins hang out downstairs on devices.

And sing?

While the younger cousins bounch.

We listen while Nana & Bumpa give us a tour of family history — those whose birthdays were in May.

And at some point Willa took this selfie.

Weekend Notes: May 14 - 20

Random pic of Willa and Charlotte eating ice cream @ DQ.
I think it belongs to the other week. But Charlotte texted it to me this week.

Enoch is 19!!! And living his best life.

Enoch wished Oscar that he would have dreams about building things & he would be able to build them.

Willa was wished her own room not attached to the laundry (again).

Enoch bestowed upon Calvin, the absence of sassy. “You can stop being so sassy.”
Calvin was not impressed, in a sassy unimpressive way.

Taran: “You make other people know your ideas without having to talk to them.”

Enoch wished me, his mother, an army of helpers.

David was given a wish for all his projects to be completed successfully.

Sassy Calvin shares Enoch’s excitement for an ice cream birthday cake.

MOTHER’S DAY:
The beginning of the week, Oscar performed his recital piece.

Oscar, Miriam, and Giobbe.

On Friday Oscar had his first band concert. He plays the trumpet.

 Mr. StarryMs. Wardner

Willa is a Girl Scout. She went on a sleepover.
“I met another girl named Willa. We rode around on little carts and ate Doritos. We watched a movie. I don’t know, it wasn’t really interesting. It was like every other Girl Scout camp. You know?”

May 20
Calvin dressed this way Saturday morning because why not?
