Violent Kisses

Happy Belated Valentines Day! We were in South Dakota last Sunday living it up in the land of wind and snow. So all of our planned Valentines celebration has been moved to today. The conversation hearts, the annual fondue dinner, and this post...

Kissing in our home is "Yucky." Even good night kisses to our boys are rejected. They wipe them off as soon as we plant them. David and I try to make them stick with creative effort (my favorite is trying to get that part of their back that they can't reach and then watch them try to reach it). David just overwhelms them with pure numbers of kisses or sometimes we just go with it and kiss them and then wipe it off.

One thing that will work is blowing kisses. Especially if the kisses are destructive. That's how we have come to give "machine gun kisses" or "canon kisses." There are even natural disaster kisses called "tornado kisses." Below Calvin models machine gun and canon kisses before bundled David heads off to the light rail.

May your love be as forceful.

Only boys would think of machine gun kisses.

How creative!! You actually found a way for boys to acceptably express affection. Way to go!
