Christmas Card Round Up

Did you get your Christmas card? Do you want one? I tried to be very diligent in getting everyone's address. The cards were sent out a bit late due to car troubles (we're doing fine now thanks) but they should start arriving soon. So if you haven't received one yet let me know.

And please remember us in your mailings if you're sending cards this year. I LOVE, love, love Christmas cards. I keep them up until mid-January and then, if you sent a picture, I tape it up in my kitchen cupboards. That way whenever I reach for a plate or baking soda I remember all of the love that has been sent our way, and that my little brother wears a mullet wig for his Christmas cards.

Note to Minneapolis friends: If you see us more than once a month, than you will not have received a card as I consider it a redundant update of our family, much like this blog. But if you'd like one, let me know... maybe we'll drop by in our Sunday best and wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Merry Martins

Here are the photos that did not make it on the card. We had fun taking the photos this year because Stephanie took us to a beautiful spot on the Mississippi River. It was freezing! about 20 degree and shady. But we ran back and forth between the car and the stairs and quickly took the pictures. It was amazing how well Emma, Taran, Enoch, Calvin, and Willa did. There was no need to bribe, beg, or threaten the children into smiling. Just had to say, "If this picture goes well, we can get back into the car."

Voila!

Christmas!

Have a really super great Christmas! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have all of you over on Christmas day? That would be my idea of heaven.

Snow Fun

Emma and Calvin enjoying a marhmellow world.

Thanksgiving Recap

Thanksgiving in South Dakota with the Meyers! Dinner was standard stuffed to the gills fare. The fun was the people!

Here we are in the kitchen cleaning up after much, very much, good food.

Kirsti, flushed with the triumph of a great meal!--and pregnancy.

Taran eating pie, while an unknown family member comes in for the kill.

Addie, Raquel, Emma, Issac, Calvin, and Asmond enjoy dessert and each other.

Earlier that day...
Kirsti planned our own Fun Run along the semi paved road that runs behind their home.

Before the run, Addie, Enoch, and Calvin treed a cat.

Get ready!

Get set!

GO!

Nothing stops this sister o'mine. Not pregnancy, not Thanksgiving dinner in 6 hours, not house full of guests--NOTHING!

Enoch doing his best.

Go Cheryl, go!

David had to persuade Taran to do his best.

J.B. had the babies.

While this baby, just plain had it.

Afterwards, there was banana bread, hot chocolate and warmth waiting inside.

We are so Thankful for the blessings we all share!
